"Throughout history many have equated the artist with the shaman, the seer, those who see differently and urge us in the direction we don’t perceive or understand. The artist may be like the hound dog that picks up a scent and urges us along the path. I want to show the mystical in the mundane. My paintings try to make physical the beautiful possible. Through the use of fantasy , the magical, in my paintings I do what so many creative people before me have done, point to the divine core. Many artists have had experiences of illuminated vision, seeing beyond the actual. Such supra-conscious or mystic moments are alive in them and demand to be shared. So the artist, seeing says " Go that way- this is a way of looking at who we are - where we are " TJ
